A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME

Hi there, and a very warm welcome!

The very reason you have arrived here, is what inspired me to create this space for you. Ever since I was a teenager, I have had a keen interest in people and their stories. I was lucky in that I always knew supporting others was something I wanted to do. Nearing a decade working in mental health, my experience spans a wide range of clients and concerns - from volunteering as a Lifeline Crisis Supporter, where I developed a strong foundation in crisis intervention, to psychosocial support for clients navigating highly complex needs. Today, alongside my private practice, I am proud to be part of a wonderful school counselling team at one of Australia's leading schools. Having found my passion in working with young people, I have noted the great need for easier and more sustainable access to support.

I am deeply drawn to the complexity of pre-adolescence through young adulthood - seasons of life that are often both formative and overwhelming. My approach is warm, integrative, and deeply curious. I believe that real, lasting change happens when we are genuinely interested in understanding ourselves - not just the problem on the surface, but the whole person beneath it. Sessions with me are about building insight, emotional resilience and self-awareness in a way that feels sustainable and meaningful.

So, what does counselling look like? It can look like many things - but at its heart, it's a safe space to pause, breathe, and be wholeheartedly yourself. It's not about being "broken" or needing to be "fixed." It's about having someone walk alongside you while you unearth the patterns, thoughts, feelings, and experiences that can at times feel heavy to carry alone.

My work is grounded in the belief that meaningful change begins with curiosity. In our sessions, you'll be met with warmth and compassion - a space where your story truly matters, where you can speak openly, explore what feels stuck, and begin to make sense of the patterns shaping your life. The benefits often unfold gently: a clearer mind, a lighter heart, more balanced emotions, and a stronger sense of self. Over time, you may notice you're kinder to yourself, more grounded in your relationships, and feel better equipped to handle life's challenges.

The therapeutic process is deeply collaborative and will only thrive with your commitment too. It's never about having all the answers - it's about creating space to explore what matters most to you. Together we'll talk through your experiences at your own pace, untangle the challenges you're facing, and uncover the strengths you already hold. Some days may feel light and reflective; others deeper and more emotional. Both are part of the journey.

Sessions are currently available after school hours and during school holiday periods, online or through in person Walk and Talk sessions across Sydney's inner west and lower north shore - designed to suit the rhythms of real family life.

I look forward to hearing your story.

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT COUNSELLING

“People are just as wonderful as sunsets if you let them be. When I look at a sunset, I don't find myself saying, "soften the orange a bit on the right hand corner." I don't try to control a sunset. I watch with awe as it unfolds.”
- Carl R. Rogers
